Alicia Layne Thomason (b. January 15th, 1995) is an author, poet, and musician from Billings, Montana. Born and raised in Billings in a homeschooling family, Alicia has enjoyed playing the violin and writing fiction from early childhood. She has participated in the Billings Symphony Youth Orchestra from middle school throughout high school, and continues to mentor the Repertory Orchestra of the BSYO. Alicia is currently a substitute musician for the Billings Symphony Orchestra.
Alicia graduated high school at age 19 in 2014. She attended Montana State University Billings for six years, obtaining two majors: a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Alicia graduated college in December 2021.
Alicia is currently taking online courses for beginning writers from Thomas Umstattd, Jr.’s Author Media. She published her first edition of “Kennedy Ryan: A Story of Adjustment and Adventure” through WestBow Press while she was in college. After college, Alicia rewrote the story into the current second edition and self-published it through Amazon KDP.
Alicia lives with her family in Billings, along with their wonderful cats and dogs. Other than writing fiction and poetry, Alicia enjoys playing the violin, the viola, and making beaded jewelry.
